This thing works
Seems good quality, I've had it for 2 weeks.Spilled almost a gallon of coolant on it, still works.These really only fail if power steering or oil gets into it, so replace the power steering upper hoses when you do this repair.

Easy DIY with excellent affordable + quality alternator
Fit perfectly onto my 2002 bmw z3 3.0 , looked into the company p-gear, they are very reputable, delivered promptly in a very nice box with excellent packaging, slipped right into place, everything lined up perfectly. Seriously this is one of the easiest DIY you can manage (just take off the air filter, slip 16mm socket onto the belt tensioner to slip the belt off, remove 16mm bolts too and bottom, then sensor and positive cable on back, leverage/pry the old alternator out, put new one in and hook everything back up). If you can't pull this one off yourself, you should be ashamed to call yourself man (or maybe you have low T)

Fits e46 328. Says no but it does
I had to order a second one (not sellers fault) site said the last one fit my e46 (99 328) it didn't.. didn't have a plug only 2 terminals. So ordered a second one from this seller also said this one would not fit e46 328. Only 2.5 3.0 etc. Bottom line nice alternator good price all new works great.

Failed in 1 day.
Do not buy these poorly manufactured alternators. I installed this alternator to replace the old one; this alternator worked for one day and will now only charge up to 12.3 volts running. I took a chance on the Amazon sponsored and product and I should have known better to buy a product that isn't a direct replacement. Save yourself time and money.

Put it in works grate sofar
Put it in myself with only a couple of tools took maybe an hour and a half. Sofar haven't had a problem with it.

Fits on my e46 1999 bmw 328i
I installed the alternator with mostly no problem. The only thing that did not fit was my power cable rubber cover because of the shape. I managed to stretch it on and put some glue to make it stay. Its been a week and the alternator is working well.

Alternator is good,
Alternator was quickly delivered, while installing it, I noticed the electrical connection was different that the original.original connection is oval and the new connection is rectangular.I took the alternators apart and switched parts.maybe something to look.ThanksAaron
