Took some time but I think it worked?
First off…the reviews saying you got ripped off because only half the bottle was filled…you are incorrect. This is sold by weight, not volume. I weighed it prior to using any of the product and it weighed 10.55 oz (see photo). This is the weight of the product (8 oz) plus the weight of the plastic container. YOU DID NOT GET RIPPED OFF. The product “settles” just like cereal settles in a box.I applied this to a few tropical hibiscus I am desperately trying to keep alive indoors until warmer spring weather in zone 6b. It’s now March so we’re in the home stretch! But they’re under severe aphid attack. I checked the plants after about 7-10 days and still saw live aphids. It’s been about 3 weeks since I did the application now. I checked on the plants with the intention of taking them outside today to spray with Neem oil, and it appears that all that is left are their shed exoskeletons. So they’ve either moved back outside or they’re dead. I took the plants outside and hosed off the aphid death particles. I won’t use Neem oil for now. I want to see if the aphids return and I will update at a later date.(Full disclosure, the flower pic is from a plant that is NOT under attack by aphids…but you can see why I so desperately want to keep these alive…they’re beautiful!)

Effective but Pricey – Worth It for Gnats!
We had a major gnat infestation in our office—constantly buzzing around, distracting us, and impossible to get rid of. I tried multiple solutions, but this was the only thing that actually worked. Within a couple of days, the gnats were gone! It didn’t cause any issues for the plants, and they stayed healthy the entire time.I used one canister for about eight plants, including two large potted ones. You don’t get a ton in a canister, so it’s pretty expensive for the amount, but it’s worth it for getting rid of gnats. About 6–7 months later, we got new plants and had another gnat problem. I used this again and noticed I had to “freshen up” the treatment on the older plants because the gnats had spread back. I also didn’t notice any strong odor, which was a nice bonus. Overall, great quality and long-lasting, but you will need to reapply over time to keep the gnats at bay!Taking off one star because of the price, but overall, it’s a great product that does what it promises!

Gnats be gone!
This alongside some mosquito bits have solved my fungus gnat problem. Bonide worked perfect but I was extra grossed out by the gnats so I added the bits to the top of the soil in my potted plants and GNATS ARE GONE!

Very little product for the bottle size
I cannot comment yet on effectiveness but I can comment on the ridiculous and misleading packaging. I opened the container to use and thought there had been an error and the container had not been filled correctly, less than half full! But, I weighted it and the weight seems correct. Which means the manufacturer could have used a package half as larger and STILL had room for settling to occur!I will update review with more stars if it works in getting rid of a serious infestation of fungus gnats that came in a bad (very expensive) bag of potting soil. Threw out most of the plants but two large pots I really didn’t want to get rid of.Update: the product seems to have been about 98% effective with one application. But will have to get more for subsequent treatments. So, would recommend but know there is very little product in the package.

Works for gnats!
We have been struggling with gnats for a while because I have a lot of indoor plants. I have tried a lot of the home remedies. This product really makes a difference. My problem was only buying one. Since I have so many plants, I have re-ordered three more containers.

It works
I received a plant for a gift and it just kept giving. It had plant gnats and since I didn't know what they were at first they killed my ponytail palm. These gnats lay their eggs in the soil of plants and the larva eat the roots of plants while they are developing. I bought a light that had sticky pads, also. I couldn't believe how many gnats it caught. After a week of using Systemic the gnats are just about gone. I've went from hundreds of gnats being caught on the sticky pads to having 3 caught in the last couple of days. The bottle says it has enough to treat 6 plants. I didn't use near that much. I took a fork and broke the dirt up and then I used a spoon to put a layer of Systemic in the soil. I used the fork again to work the granules into the dirt and then watered my plants. It absolutely worked. Yes, the bottle is half empty when you receive it, only because the contents have settled. Like the small print says it's sold by weight not by volume. Like bags of chips where the bag is half empty, the contents have just settled.
