Very well put together rain barrel.
Got this for my father and he absolutely loves it. It is flat on the back so you can put it against a wall or a deck flush (he's a construction guy, so he loves being able to do that). Filled right up on our first desert monsoon rain and he has been using it to water his grapes and garden area. Very well made, and it's a plus to have all the fittings pre-drilled and working. You don't need a pump for this, you can attach a hose right on the bottom of the barrel, or open it up and let the water out from the bottom. My father put it up on cinder blocks so he could get a bucket or a watering can underneath the spigot with ease. Plus, it looks like a whiskey barrel, very pretty in the yard. These cost twice as much in the garden store, and the ones in the garden store are not 55 gallons like this one, the capacity is much smaller.

Must have
This is my second rain barrel. The first came with the house and as such, I didn't pick it out. But I learned a few things I would want in another rain barrel. The best part of this rain barrel is the enclosed lid with a grate over it so debris and bugs aren't getting in. Must have for a rain barrel! It was easy to put together. I had to cut part of my gutter pipe (I used a circular saw) and I got a plastic gutter hose to connect to the pipe and funnel down onto the rain barrel grate. This has worked so well. The back bows out some when filled with water so I wouldn't recommend putting it against something. Seems sturdy and holds a decent amount of water. Really pleased with the purchase.

Nice rain barrel
Perfect for my backyard. I wanted a rain barrel to save water for watering my backyard. I put it under the downspout and the barrel filled with one rain shower. I haven't hooked a hose up to it yet but because I haven't planted my flowers yet but I look forward to using it all summer. It was very easy to put together and a great price.

On Target?
I'm a city boy and not a survivalist "nut." But, as I tell my patients, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean nobody's following you. So, I pay attention to all news sources and it looks to me like we're in trouble. So, I bought this product: two of them. Simple assembly, hooked them up to the down spout using another product (simple), and Voila'! We now have a 50 gallon supply of roof water. The roof channels 60-70% of water to one spout and we picked the right spout! With my handy dandy new water filter device, with the "black" filter, we are now ready to see if that filter can transform nasty city roof water into drinkable water. I had no idea so much water would accumulate from one storm that didn't make a dent in the water content of our lawn and after which the streets were dry in a couple hours. Now I need to add the overflow tube to the second barrel and stop losing all that roof water! Why an overall "4"? The screen on the opening in the barrel. Poorly made. Not properly sized. Not easy to cut precisely for an intake tube. They need to add $10 to the cost and create a custom port for a separate device that you connect to the downspout. Then, direct the buyer to your downspout attachment that just happens to connect precisely to your port on your rain barrel. Anyone who buys a rain barrel to collect roof water is going to go that next step to customize and precisely "engineer" the collection point for the extra money. They have to get the water from the spout to the barrel anyway. And, right now they have to buy that from another company. Why not create and sell a method customized to your rain barrel rather than rely on another company to sell a "generic" water diverter? I've got that generic water diverter. It works. Perfectly. But, it is too long, too stiff, and just a pain in the rear end. So, I bought a special cutter from Lowes, which those of us who are city boy non-carpenters do - THE MAJORITY OF MEN - and I cut a hole in the screen, after which I went back to Lowes and bought God's greatest non-living gift to the human being: Duct (Duck) Tape. (His greatest living gift is the dog: any dog, but Golden Retrievers are really special ... close to God.) I taped the screen back down to the barrel and ....... it works! Too much interference. Develop the water diverter for the spout, in addition to the screen - which YOU should install - add a port customized in size and shape for the tube bringing the diverted water to the barrel, and encourage the buyer to purchase both. Those of us who still think we rule the world will bypass your customized option and buy the duct tape. Those of us who have been enlightened by our predictable ability to fail repeatedly will know the answer right away and choose your customized solution. Great product. Talk to your staff who are supposed to be advising you on what to do next, and tell them they are on notice. They missed this one.

Excellent!
These are great – the flat back allows them to fit in a narrow space. I linked them together with a 1” hose. With an Oatey Mystic rain diverter installed just so (a whole ‘nother review) just .6” rain from a 400 square foot roof filled them both and then diverted the remaining flow down the downspout. I built a stand to fit the two barrels in order to access the spigots without a hose. Be careful not to cross thread the spigots. (Don’t buy the two pack – it’s far cheaper to buy the barrels one at a time, at least here on Amazon.)

Great barrels great price
My brother told me that barrels were are sale so I bought 3 more to add to the 3 that I already ownedMy first barrels that I bought I purchased in September 2021. The original 3 were missing a part on each of the them and RTS made it good, which I’m grateful. In 2022 we had below zero temps. I had forgotten to drain the barrels, the barrels didn’t break, thank goodness. So knowing that RTS makes a great products and they have great customer service I purchased 3 more from them. to add to my collection. I would recommend their barrels Right now they are less than what I paid in 2021. So if you need rain barrels now is the time to buy them before they go up in priceThe black barrels are the new barrels the tan are the 3 year old barrels

Great for conserving water and our plants love the rain water.
The first one arrived on time however, there was some damage to the top. The seller was quick to respond and sent out a replacement.Great rain barrel. It looks good and we use it daily for watering plants.
