This product has a horrible design with the rubber on the bottom of the feet. Theres no reason to even have feet on it let alone rubber. When I was steaming vegetables the pan ran out of water because it sits too low in the pan the rubber actually caught on fire! It ruined the pan and the steamer and almost started my kitchen on fire. It’s really unfortunate because I lost a very expensive pan. I would not recommend this product at all. I have used other types of steamers in the past and never had a problem.

Overall, this is a great product. I use it for steaming veggies and tried it for hard-boiling eggs in my Instant Pot (it fits in there perfectly, BTW) and I'm sure someone more creative and adventurous than me could make it do more than that. It does exactly what I want it to.The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the cleaning: the design necessitates that it have multiple hinged "petals" and that the metal have a bunch of holes in it. The petals must be cleaned individually, to a degree, and the holes in the metal tend to snag on your pad or washcloth (I'm one of those Luddites who doesn't have a dishwasher).Other than that, it works as it should and seems very well-made!

I have a Cuisinart steamer insert for a 3Qt. sauce pan, but the holes are so small and so few that it takes forever to steam anything. Also, the holes are only on the bottom on the streamer insert. With this insert basket, which has lots of holes, and which fits nicely into the 3Qt. pan, I can now steam things in less than half the time. Plus, the holes on the sides allow for a more thorough and consistent steaming experience. I will be ordering the larger size as a companion basket so I can steam larger items (whole fish, large ears of corn, etc.) as well.

I chose this product out of all the others because of the longer/collapsible feet and the S-Hook. I was far too tired of precariously lifting my old basket from a steaming pot with a fork. The product I ordered was missing the S-hook and rather than returning through Amazon, I reached out to the service team since the contact information was so easy to locate (included with the packaging). They responded to me quickly and resolved my issue just as quickly. Very happy, thanks!

I had been steaming broccoli and asparagus in my small pot. The broccoli would fall apart and I'd lose some to the bottom of my pot. This basket expands for a perfect fit and keeps all the broccoli there, none lost to the pot bottom. I'm very happy with this adjustable basket, it is working great for my uses. I feel dumb for not getting one of these much sooner! This model has silicone on the feet bottom, so the feet won't scratch up my pot. I like that detail. Plus, the legs hold it up anout 1/2" so I can put plenty of water for steaming. I'm very happy!!

This item does everything I need it to do and does it well. I've only used it 3 times and usually wait longer to review an item but it started to slightly rust after hand washing it the 2nd time. This tells me it is not stainless steel. It seems like it will hold up if it's not abused. Since it is not stainless that means it has to be hand dried right after washing, and ideally a thin layer of oil rubbed all over it. I will not be doing the last step.The steamer works well, I like that the silicone feet prevent it from scratching things. We'll have to see how long it holds up.

I bought this for steaming some foods in my Farberware 6qt. pressure cooker.....received it today.....washed the item, and checked for fit in my cooker.......since it it very adjustable to a wide variety of pot diameters...(the bottom mine happens to be about 7 1/2 inches).....it will work just fine.....also upon close inspection, it appears to be well made and I expect many years of service from it.

This steamer did the job, I bought this for my 8 quart Ninja Foodi. Overall build quality seems decent and this is the model that seemed to have the silicone leg stands along with an easy screw in/screw off hook (no screwdriver required unlike other models.) The only issue I had was that my first shipment was missing the screw in thread to screw in the hook. I spoke with customer service and they promptly sent me another one. I waited about a week and when it arrived, that one was missing the screw in thread as well! I contacted them again and they apologized and promptly sent me a third steamer basket. Another week later, and third times the charm as the third one finally had the screw in thread so that I can screw in the hook. Overall, 4 stars: 2 stars for quality assurance who missed the defective units on the first two shipments, 5 stars for excellent customer service and 5 stars for the steamer basket itself. Would recommend, but hope you don't have the same problems I did with the hook not being able to screw in!

It's a great product, and works exactly as intended. The rubber on the bottom is great for not scratching pots! Just like all steamers, the holes make it hard to clean but I think that's more a non-having-the-proper-tool problem than a steamer problem! Bought another one for my mom as well, really great product!

Amazing product. Folds magically to fit on the palm of your hand and opens wide enough to put a variety of stuff to steam. Product doesnt look cheap, n the contrary it lools very neat. Easy to clean too. Would recommand 100%.

my comment headline relates to using steamer basket for fish or certain types of meat. Then it becomes very hard to clean even in my dishwasher because fish and meat stick to the metal.

Frankly, I chose this because of price, but the quality is great. And they even included a steel scrubby to keep it clean. Exactly as described by the seller. It was delivered quickly. I would buy from this seller again.

The telescopic handle broke after a few uses. I ended up pinching it back on with pliers making it a permanent height. Other than that it works like it’s supposed to.
