Don't buy---Not in new condition, defective, and probably a cheap knock-off
I have one of these already and I love it, so thought I would purchase another to keep in a second knitting bag. I don't know what happened to this knit kit, but it seems to be some type of used, cheap knock-off of the original. The scissors have fingerprints all over them, the stitch markers are really thin and cheap, and have little manufacturing nubs hanging off of them. The toe measure is stiff and barely pulls out. Worst of all is the stitch counter. The numbers on the right side are hard to click and don't line up with the window! The numbers on the right side are also blurred and smeared, and not in a small way.The whole thing appears to have been used already, and the package had a huge piece of tape across it, like it had been resealed (or switched out a used one for a new one). The way everything on it is stiff and the ink on the numbers smeared, it almost seems as though this thing has been under water, or probably replaced with a cheap knock-off.With these circumstances, I would definitely NOT order from this seller again. The whole thing smells of a big rip-off and I'm not happy with this purchase at all! This thing is so cheap and tacky, I don't even think I'm going to bother to use it. Hoping I can get a refund, so I can find a REAL knit kit someplace else that is not used or ruined.

Average
I like the concept of this little tool case, but mine showed up scratched up and had fallen out of the packaging. It looked like it was used or had been tossed around.Anyway, I have a small knitting case that fits around my wrist. It has a small pocket inside. I am able to throw a few tools in the pocket that basically does anything this does. This purple tool case would be too big to fit inside of the pocket, so it really isn't convenient to carry. Just my preference :)

How did I get along without this?
This is almost 100% perfect for travel. My only issue (which is minor for me) is the counter. You have to be careful how you click it and because the numbers are recessed it can be hard to read. When I first started clicking I was moving both the single and double digits (1 was 11, 2 was 22, etc.). I learned to push off to the right to get it to count correctly. The scissors are wonderfully sharp and surprisingly sturdy. There is extra room in the compartment with the stich markers & point protectors for additional stitch markers or other small notions. I added additional stitch markers of different types and colors. I even use it at home, some days more than any other of my tools. Over all, I love this and I take it everywhere with me.

I do love this kit but the plastic could be of better ...
I do love this kit but the plastic could be of better quality and look. It's not pretty, was a bit scratched when I received it. I am happy with the purchase just for the fact that you have everything you need in one place when you work on a project. I do take my projects out so I can work on them whenever I have a free moment and this is a really handy kit to have around.

Disappointed with Packaging
the packaging on this product was disappointing, it looked like it had been opened, and then was taped shut with clear packing tape. the stitch markers and point protectors looked like they may have been exposed to high temperatures, but were still usable. The knit kit itself is a great idea, but I won't order another one from this company.

Use it daily
This knit kit (I got the pink version even though it's showing purple) is with me constantly in my knitting/crocheting bag. It is so handy. I take it to my knitting group and it has all the tools I need in it; a measuring tape, scissors, row counter, crochet hook for picking up stitches, point protectors, stitch markers, needle, thread (or yarn) cutter. The pink version I have also has a knitting needle gauge on the back.I have a lot of these same tools all over the house, but having them together in one little case is so nice and I use this more than any of the others. It's a necessity for any knitter or crocheter!

Belongs in Every Knitting Bag
I call this the Swiss Army Knife for knitters. I love it. It has a row counter, a thread cutter, a tape measure, a crochet hook for fixing dropped stitches that has a thick hook on one end and a thinner one on the other (for different weights of yarn), and a little compartment with a pair of folding scissors, yarn needle, stitch markers, and a couple point protectors. My only complaint is the quality of the stitch markers that come with it. I didn't like them at all. I just tossed them and filled it with the type I like. I would love to have a couple more of these.

Great little tool
I love my Knit Kit. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the quality of the stitch markers. They're rubbery and stick to your needle instead of sliding, but that is a small small issue. I think this is a great invention, and I can throw it in my project bag and go.
