Worked perfectly!!
I have a guitar which I set up to a nice low action, but fret buzzing from frets 2 and 3. I used this to bring those two frets down to level then I used a crowning file to round off the top of the fret. There's no movement checking them with a fret rocker, all the buzz is gone, and the guitar plays beautifully now. I am super happy with the results, this files are awesome! If you're not familiar with doing fret work be sure to watch the instruction video on how to use these. You will also need a crowning file. And if you have many frets that are not level, this is probably not the best solution, but for only a few frets they are fantastic.I can't say yet how well they will hold up to being used on many frets, but so far I see no clogging.

This is a game changer for fret leveling! Please read my comments.
I have been playing guitar for over 50 years and along the way my luthier skills have also developed to the point that I have been doing my own fret work from replacing to leveling and polishing and so much more. For some reason I just discover this U-level kit and I am delighted by the results I am achieving! This is a real game changer. The width of each U-shaped 'file' is such that you can place it under the string to do your filing and the broad width allows you to do the job quickly. Also each U-shaped file (all 3) are machined from what I can tell so they are perfectly straight and can act as a fret-rocker of sorts to help you locate the high fret in a pinch. Even the the highest frets at the top of a 24 fret guitar. The fact that you can do this with the strings in place means that you confirm that your fret has indeed been level and then onto the next fret. You will of course have to remove your strings to polish the frets but at least you can knock out big stuff and get the instant gratification of knowing your now in good shape with regard to the level of your frets before moving on to a polish and new set of strings. Here is a tip, and I swear by this when doing any fret work: Buy the wide black Sharpie pen. The tip is probably 3/16 wide. You locate your high fret and then run the Sharpie over the entire length of that fret. Just stretch the strings out of the way as you move the marker along. Now the top of the fret is completely black. Then go to the fret that proceeds the black/high fret and move each string up and down like you would if you were bending it while playing. Then look at the high fret again and see how much of the black has been removed by the bending action. This can help to identify how high that fret is and how much of it is actually high (duh) but it also helps you identify how much fret material you are removing when you start to file and especially when you crown the fret after initially filing it down. Making the fret black and then doing any kind of work on it will always tell the story.Yes, it may seem pricey for 3 little U-shaped files but these really are a specialty item and in my opinion are worth every cent. I also feel strong that they beat the competition in every way. I have straightened out 4 of my guitars in the first afternoon (2 vintage Strats and 2 PRS Core) and it is a no brainer to get your high fret resolved in seconds. I highly recommend this beautifully crafted little kit.

A great alternative to the SM fret kisser
Pros:Great fit and finishEased edges, nothing sharp that shouldn't beVisual guidesGood sizes, Length and widthAggressive diamond grit (pro & con)Hang hole(s)Cons:Cost (less than the competition, still expensive)Agressive diamond grit (pro & con)This kit has been used on 3 guitars at this point, and it makes very quick work of bringing down any high frets. Seems to handle stainless fret wire well (1 of the 3 necks).I'll be using these little fellas quite often! While I have not had an issue with the diamond grit plugging up (yet). Keep an eye on the diamond surface, gently clean it after each neck. Many people complain of diamond fret files failing, when it is actually just the diamond surface getting plugged up. So that is often user error, not always the tools.

Easily worth the cost
I have a 30 year old Yamaha TRB bass that never had any fretwork done to it, and with this, a crowning file and some fret erasers + microfiber cloth, i got the action better than than i thought possible on my main player, and at a cost far less than what i would have had to pay to take it in to someone. I then went on to touch up the frets on the other two basses i play, one of which i recently got used and had less than stellar fretwork. After doing 3 basses, these files have easily paid for themselves. I know some of the other reviews have said they aren't great with longevity, but they did 3 basses for me just fine and still look brand new.100% the coolest guitar based purchased ive made in a while. The only con i can think of is that it would be cool if they had made a even longer mini file to get the lowest couple frets on bass without having to rely on a regular file.

Nice
These make light work of problem frets and the cool thing is if used as intended you can't screw up

Perfect!
I bought this set to level a high fret on a guitar I built from parts. Worked quickly, and pretty foolproof. Very nice!

Inconsistent
I tried using the largest file for some of the first five frets and the file didn't touch the high frets. I moved it left and right and it still didn't work. I ended up using the small one to file these down and check regularly with my fret rocker to make sure I didn't remove too much material.
