Avedis Zildjian Company Adrian Young Artist Series Drumsticks

Some sticks I get are heavy hitting, and other sticks I get are light hitting the drum. These are perfect right in the middle so you get that fast aggressive play style with these sticks. They play great with Stick Grips.

Exactly what I was looking for.

If you are on the fence about whether to purchase this or the John Riley stick/mallet model, there are the similarities and differences:Similarities: both are .551 inches diameter x 16 inches length, and both have very hard, felt mallet heads.Differences: this model has a slightly larger felt mallet head than the Riley model, and the tip is ball type (versus the acorn design on the Riley model.) This one works well for cymbal work, especially if you want a defined stick; the Riley is better at rebound.Personally I prefer the Riley model. That does not make it better or worse - it's my own preference and I am sure that at least fifty percent of those reading this review will prefer the opposite. I have owned the Riley model for about twelve years and since I use them perhaps on twenty percent of my gigs, and them for maybe a song or two they have held up nicely and I have every reason to expect the same from this pair. To realistically provide a lifespan I have about 60 hours actual use. That is based on 1500 gigs since I've owned them, of which 20% is 300, multiplied by 12 minutes (two six minute songs) is 3600 minutes, which is 60 hours.As for the difference in the mallet ends, to me the sound and feel are so close that I would not be able to tell the difference if blindfolded. Either is a safe purchase if you are a drum kit player who wants a dual purpose striking instrument.

The felt is small and hard, should last a long time. I like the fact that they are also drum sticks, but, I won't be using them that way, I don't want to screw up the handles (nicks and dents from rim shots). I also bought two drum stick holders (Vizcaya Drum Stick Holder Drum Stick Bag with Drum Key) so I could keep one on the right and left of me so I could switch between the mallets, and regular sticks quickly, and easily. I look forward to the new (creative) possibilities I have now with these mallets at my disposal.

I really like diameter of the stick. Yet it super light. The finish is very slick. But over all a decent stick.

Being a fairly new drummer I wouldn't have a clue how to switch sticks in the middle of a song But a tilt of the wrist is super easy to use!

Fantastic sticks, perfect balance, fast rebound, and the barrel tips sound great on cymbals. I really like the extra 1/4" length. I play jazz, but I think pop and rock drummers would like these, too.They also have a special tacky finish, nice non-slip grip.I got two pairs, perfectly matched for weight and pitch.

The mallet ends are great for holding on to the sticks so they don't fly out of your hands so often.

Ich wollte unbedingt Nylon Tips um meine Meshheads etwas zu schonen. Da erwartet man natürlich schön sauber gearbeitete Tipps, damit nichts schrafkantiges ins Meschnetz schneiden kann.Aber da muss ich euch enttäuschen, die Drumsticks sind von keiner guten Qualität und vor allem haben die Nylon Tips beide eine Scharfe Kante.Damit spiele ich ganz sicher nicht auf dem Meshnetz einer E-Drum !Schlechtes Produkt.

These are quite a bit smaller than the sticks I usually use, but with some gigs coming up requiring a lighter touch I was looking for something that would be up to the job. These are fantastic, they feel great, nicely balanced and great for lighter playing.

師匠のスティックは僕にピッタリなので20年以上使用し続けています。昔に比べると随分お値段があがっちゃいましたが今後も使い続けます。近所に楽器店がないので助かっています。今のところ曲がり等がない当たりスティックばかりなのでこれも嬉しいです。

Really good. The tip is small so it hits the ride cymbal perfectly.
