This review is for the Stone and Clark 11 PC Shoe Shine Kit - Premium Shoe Polish Kit for Shoes - Black, Brown & Neutral Shoe Creams with Brushes, Laces, Buffing Cloth, Shoe Horn & More - Travel Essentials Shoe Care Kit.So anyone who has read some of my other reviews may know how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE genuine leather items and I have life long experience using/handling a wide variety of genuine leather items. Genuine leather items get better and better with age & proper care, and in my opinion there are very few instances where fake/manmade material items can measure up to it.If you have high quality genuine leather items, they need you to show them some TLC now and then to keep them looking/feeling/performing at their best. They will reward you in return with a very long service life and looking their very best. The good news is it's really very easy, and this kit contains all the basics you'll need to get started! So nothing to worry about! Just follow the directions and you will be an old hand at this in no time at all!To get started this kit contains brown/black/clear polishes, applicator and buffing brushes, a short shoehorn, shoe laces and a towel and a soft side case to keep it all in... Personally I would prefer a small sponge for each color to apply the cream polish as well as a small separate brush for each color to work the polish around and into the leather. I can add these myself, also a small ziplock bag for each. I also have some items I need grey, blue, red... polishes for and for sure do not want them mixing with the black/brown.Most people just need a damp cloth to spot clean their leather items prior to conditioning/polishing. I however am used to using a good proper leather cleaner/saddle soap before conditioning/polishing... When you start out with this, just use a very very small amount as this is a cream and a little goes a long way. You can always add a bit more if needed. If you try to just glob a large amount on then you'll just have a mess to deal with and be frustrated.....If you're still not sure about using this kit, pick up an old leather item a a garage sale or 2nd hand thrift shop and practice on it. This will allow you to get familiar with the items in this kit and how they perform. Remember if you get a different type/brand of polish in the future, it may perform differently...so practice again before using it on your expensive leather items. But go to it and have fun!For the regular price $54.99 per the listing I must say I feel is a bit high for this kit. But once you have the brushes they last like forever.As always I only do honest reviews and will update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend our $.

Just good for traveling only

Used this to clean and polish my every day leather shoes I wear from work (from ECCO). They were looking pretty dusty and faded. I hopefully used everything in the right order, but the end result was pretty good. They were revitalized and shiny. I am not a shoe shine expert so I dont know where the components of this pack stack up but as a layman I was impressed. I like that everything fits in the small bag so its easy to store. 2 thumbs up!

There are so few people who even purchase true leather shoes these days. A good pair of leather shoes can be costly, so it is important to keep them cleaned and polished to really get the value paid for them. This kit has three cream polishes that are very easy to use. I think I will get the best and most use of the black and brown colors. I am not so sur the light cream will actually cover and buff out on light color shoes. They are more convenient than using the hard waxy polishes. The three brushes are all made of horsehair and are of pretty good quality. They are soft enough to get the polish into all the crevices and around any intricate shoe details. I have only used the black color so far. The large buffing brush does a really nice job at putting a protective finish and a nice buff on the shoe. There are a few bonus items included in the kit. The shoehorn is probably the most useful item since the shoelaces must be a particular length to be of good use. I do like the bag that is included since it is so much more convenient than the old-style wooden box with the heel rest that doubled as the carry handle. I would never think of traveling with that one. I don't have many pair of all leather shoes, but the ones I do have, I do try to keep them looking good. I no longer am employed, so I just keep the shoes looking good for myself and still enjoy the occasional wearing. I am happy I decided to order this kit, but I don't really think many people will even know what it is for and how to use it unless they grew up using one.

A good boot polish and care kit can make shoes and boots look new again as well as help extend their lifespan. A good pair of shoes or boots can cost $150 or more so it's worth it to me to take care of them. I choose this kit because it was so versatile offering brown cream, black cream and my favorite neutral cream as well as three horse hair brushes, a polish applicator, a shining cloth, two sets of laces and a shoe horn and a cloth carrying bag. Perfect for restoring and protecting leather.

I think it's a decent choice if you're looking for a budget-friendly option. First though, you have to consider if you're okay with putting the polish on your shoes due to its ingredients. All three polishes are made in China and list ingredients including purified water, silicone emulsion, carnauba wax, antifreeze, and fragrance. I'd recommend checking if these ingredients are safe for the material of your shoe if you care for this sort of thing. As for my experience with this product, I just dusted off my leather dress shoes and went straight to polishing them. The post-polish shine noticeably revitalized my shoes, making the leather look refreshed and clean. I used the black polish because because the container was broken upon arrival. Despite the mess of the spill in the carrying case, the polish cleaned up my shoe nicely. It only took a small amount of product and plenty of elbow grease to achieve a mirror shine. The brushes in the kit have soft and dense bristles, which I felt were gentle on my leather shoes. I did, however, begin to get hand cramps while using the brushes for an extended time. On a positive note, the carrying case has a waterproof and stain-resistant interior. It's easy to wipe clean, which is handy considering the goopy/viscous consistency of the polish. I will say that it's a tight fit though. You'd have to play Tetris to get everything back into the bag. The kit also includes quality laces that are generously long. I haven't laced them onto my shoes yet but they seem durable and I don't think they'd split/fray if taken to a scissor. A major downside is that the polish containers don't stack and aren't very durable, making them unsuitable for travel. Also, the packaging could be improved to prevent damage during shipping. Considering the price point, though, it's a good value for the amount of product you get. For someone like me who doesn't frequently attend formal events or needs highly polished shoes for work, this kit might suffice for a long time. In conclusion, while there are some drawbacks like packaging issues and ergonomic concerns with the brushes, this shoe polish kit is effective at its core task: shining shoes affordably. If you're looking for a basic set to maintain your shoes without breaking the bank, this could be a suitable option.

I hate to put 2 stars, but I have to be honest : this Box is too small and the brushes are so small that it actually becomes difficult to shine the shoes cause everything is small.
