These aren't Linzer Tart cookies. Not even close. Linzer cookies are almond shortbread filled with jam. These are the same small, cheap sugar-and-flour cookies that get sold for $3 a box at your corner drug store, with so little jam inside that you can't even taste it. Worse, they contain no almond extract at all. I cannot believe I wasted $15 on this. I live in Maine now, where no bakeries sell Linzer cookies, and I shelled out that money just to get the New York Linzer cookies I grew up on. Instead, I got eight really small, tasteless cookies with almost no jam. Blech.

Yuck!
Yuck! Raspberry filling is missing that fresh taste and way too much sugar in the cookie, itself. My cookies came crumbled. I am dissatisfied.
