All Seeds Germinated and Appear to be Lotus
I placed about 2/3 of the seeds I received in a container with warm water and set them in a warm area of the house. All seeds germinated within 3 days. After a few days, I moved them into a partly shaded spot on a patio. It’s been about 10 days and most have their second or third leaf emerging and small roots. I just transferred them to cloth water-plant-pots, in soil, and placed some in my fountain and others in my pond. Hopefully they will continue to thrive. It is impossible so far to tell if there were multiple colors/varieties of lotus in the seed packet. Though based on the germination time and appearance of the first few shoots, it seems there are at least two varieties. More time will tell. I will come back and update my review when they are more mature -assuming they survive their transplant.UPDATE - It has been almost a month since I received my lotus seed order. The transplanted seedlings are doing well. I placed them in cloth pots with part silt/part clay-rich soil and set one pot in a defunct fountain and several other pots in the pond, along with some lily pads. The lotus have numerous leaves about 3 inches across and gradually increasing in size. They seem healthy and I am confident they will survive and eventually bloom. Still no obvious indication as to whether there is more than one species of lotus.

Lovely dwarf Lotus
I bought these dwarf lotus rhizomes earlier in the spring, and waited until grew to do a review. I have a small patio pond that’s around 400 gallon size, and all I did was scatter the lotus on the quiet side of the pond. (Lotus like quiet water, not so much where the water is moving.) Pretty sure most came to life and they are giving some nice cover for the goldfish. Ideally, I should’ve put them in sinkable baskets with small rocks to weight the seed down to the bottom. So some of the roots float up to the surface, but the plants are still happy and prolific. It’s a little early for them to start blooming but I have no doubt that they will. These are just the small lilly pads next to some tall plants already there. Try them 🙏 You won’t be sorry and you’ll be sharing them with your pond friends in no time 😊🙏 Namaste

Lousy
They grew, but no flowers. They show about 200 in the video, but what you get are only 10

I‘ll Try Again Next Year
Got these for a small fountain I assembled in the backyard. I started the plants inside and moved them outside. The seeds sprouted and leafed very quickly. The leaves are small—just the right size for my little ‘pond’—and attractive, in shades of green. Then the squirrels found them. Lotuses are apparently a squirrel delicacy because the furry little beasts had a binge. They pulled them all up, ate the seeds, and left a pile of stems and leaves strewn around the fountain. This was my first go with lotuses. I will try again next year with a metal screen to prevent a repeat of ravenously snacking squirrels. I am hoping to see what the flowers look like then.

Never bloomed
They grew stems out but never flowered. I expected a beautiful pond with flowers around but instead nothing happened. Maybe better instructions. Maybe the turtle found and ate every single one. I’m not sure after I transported them.

Easy to grow, fast sprouting!
I received 40 seeds. I put them in water about a week ago. All the seeds , except for 3, have sprouted. The water did turn a reddish color. I gently removed the sprout seeds, put them in a clean bowl of warm water and washed the vase that I had them in. I returned them to the vase and keep it inside the house where they get indirect sun all day. So far, so good! Can’t wait to see them bloom!

No instructions provided Seeds no good
No instructions were included so I spent some time looking how to start the plant. I did exactly what I needed to get the seeds started. It's been 3 weeks only 2seeds are showing any sign of growth and they are struggling. I would not recommend this company by any means! Total waste of money! I am so disappointed
