Can I put Onggi in the fridge? Sure, no problem at all. In Korea, Onggi is traditionally stored outdoor through all seasons, even during winter time. Our Onggi is perfect size for fridge! Before putting Onggi in the fridge, make sure to leave fermented food for 2-4 days in room temperature for optimal fermentation process. If you want to store your Onggi with Kimchi or something with strong smell in the fridge, close the Onggi mouth with several layers of plastic wrap before putting lid to prevent smell in the fridge. Otherwise, there is no issue with smell when you store Onggi with Kimchi or any other fermented food in the kitchen. Appearance may vary slightly due to use of natural ingredients and hand-finish.

The decent Onggi with amazing recipe of Kimchi
I never expected to get such a decent Onggi here in Europe. It even comes with a booklet with useful recipes including Kimchi...!As a Korean, I can't live a day without Kimchi but it was very difficult to get good quality Kimchi in the market.. Therefore, I recently started making Kimchi by myself but the result was a bit frustrating. One day, my friend served Kimchi during dinner at her place and it tasted really amazing like my mom's and I asked her the secret. Her Kimchi was fermented in "Onggi"...!After receiving the Onggi, I immediately made Kimchi following the recipe in the booklet and put it in Onggi. It is perfect size for 1 cabbage. After 1 week, it turned out to be very tasty with nicely deep flavour...It was too good to believe....! I already have second batch of Kimchi in Onggi and it seems to be fermented a bit more quickly than last time...This Onggi set looks beautiful and can be nice gifts for my Kimchi lover friends...!

Brilliant & no smell outside/in fridge!
Brilliant product! In addition to all benefits already mentioned, I can easily add the fact that it doesn't leak smell when left outside or in the fridge. Recommended — now trying to find an excuse to get a second one!

I bought this Onggi for birthday gift for my sister who is very health conscious and doing fermenting. I am myself quite familiar with Asian culture and food, and absolutely understand the value of Onggi already.As expected, my sister really loved the product and told me that her Kimchi fermented in Onggi tastes nicer and somewhat different than usual.Happy to see my sister happy with this small gift and looking forward to trying her Kimchi next time when I visit her!

Best container for your fermented food. Must-have item for healthy living
Very nice quality, beautiful design and good size fitting well in the kitchen or refrigerator. Due to health benefit (and taste as well), fermented food is core part of our family cousin. I bought this product to store fermented food such as Kimchi, Plum juice, Yogurt and Soy been paste (Miso) and really happy for the quality of the product. I am going to order few more to replace plastic containers in my refrigerator.Package is beautiful and you will receive booklet with useful recipes.

I love my Onggi
I love my Onggi. I make authentic tasting kimchi with this product. The micro pores allow the kimchi to ferment properly. It does allow the odor of the kimchi to seep into the fridge so I keep it in extra fridge. So worth it

j'ai commandé sur le site Amazon France pour les pots de 1L et sur le site anglais pour celui de 2L. Je n'ai pas trouvé la version 2l sur le site français, dommage car c'est un peu cherj'avais peur de l'état des jarres à la livraison;mais pas de soucis ils étaient très bien emballés dans du "papier" bulle, même celui acheté sur le site anglais.Très bonne qualité, j'en suis vraiment satisfaite.ne pas remplir jusqu'au bord, car du fait de la fermentation cela va déborder.

Petite jarre adorable
Pas encore utilisé, c'est pour faire du miso et j'attends le ferment !Mais la jarre est super mignonne (1L) et pas encombrante du tout. Je songe à en recommander car je lacto fermente beaucoup de légumes et ce format est pratique. De plus, elle est jolie et esthétique dans une cuisine

da fehlt das Gewicht
Der Topf ist Formschön aber nur bedingt zum Fermentieren geeignet. Ich denke sein Einsatzgebiet ist mehr Trockenfermentieren bzw. fermentieren von Flüssigkeiten.Ich habe es ursprünglich zum probefermentieren von diversen Versuchen mit Gemüse angedachct, da er angenehm klein ist. Aber es ist kein Gewicht dabei um das Fermentiergut unten zu halten und so kann man sich zwischen zwei Übeln entscheiden, so wenig einfüllen, das er nicht übergeht und einen großen Luftpolster (=schlecht) im Gefäß haben oder eben überlaufen lassen und auf einen Teller stellen.Ich habe mich jetzt dazu entschieden es mal mit Essig wie angegeben zu versuchen, da muss man laut Rezept sowieso jeden Tag umrühren, damit läuft es auch nicht über.

I love the idea to use Onggi again
I bought this Onggi for my wife as a present. We are Koreans and grew up with Onggi. My wife is very health conscious and loves experimenting with healthy food. She used a plastic fermenter so far. When I found this product, I love the idea to use Onggi again, since it provides the characteristic taste to Kimchi and we don't like to use plastic for food. It comes in a beautiful packaging and a lovely booklet. As Korean eating Kimchi everyday, we hope that they bring larger version soon. The vessel itself is of modern simple design that stands now in our kitchen.
