Love the concept, A little hard to use until you get use to it. Spool needs to be a little bigger. I had to take off about 10ft of line so the clip would connect.

This reel looks sturdy. I've used a similar one by a major gear manufacturer that broke, so I know the mechanism is well designed. We'll see about its durability when I use it underwater.The line is nylon, which is a plus because it won't rot like cotton does. It's also yellow, so you can see where your line is and can also avoid getting tangled up in it. The bolt snap is a plus.

I actually bought this, then bought one without the crank on it. The crank seems a little cheap and I don’t trust it. I’ll probably end up ripping that part off.
