I purchased a different brand USB-c hub with a power-delivery port from Amazon earlier. That one kept on waking up my laptop from its sleep mode which made a lot of noise in the middle of the night. I used it to charge my iPhone, and the connection constantly went on and off. After doing a lot more search I found this one from Vention and decided to give it a try. It didn't have any of these problems, and so far has been working well.

Very easy to use. Plug devices in and then plug the USB C cable to your laptop. No loss in speed for internet. Transferred a fair amount of data using a USB stick plugged in. I like it. Makes my desk area less cluttered too and easier to take the laptop and go. Might buy one of these for the office too.

Ok here it is…This one works! And…doesn’t get HOt.

Using my Microsoft Surface 2, I'm not able to extend the display across two external monitors. I am using the VGA and HDMI plugs simultaneously, but by computer is only detecting them as one display, and the extended display is duplicated on both of them. In other words, both of my external monitors work, but they are displaying the same thing and I can't extend the desktop across each one individually. My Intel display drivers are up to date. I cannot find any drivers on Vention's web site to address this issue.

The product only mirrors your laptop screen, it does not support extended dual screens in addition to the laptop screen even tho there are two plugs. It also uses power from your laptop, so I found that, even when my laptop was plugged in, the product was draining the battery faster than it was charging, even when I had put my computer to sleep. The product also gets INSANELY hot with continuous use. I returned mine.

I hoped this would be the solution for me, but it appears not. It gets wayyyy too hot. And when my Logitech unifying received was plugged into it, there was significant lagging and overall poor performance. It is working ok for my monitor and my headset, but I need something that works for my mouse and kb too.

I like the product overall however the power is low. With a laptop, one HDMI, security card, headphones/ mic, and keyboard/mouse the lag time on any can be significant. Occasionally when typing it lags or the mouse freezes so I have to unplug a different usb to get the mouse to work or stop the lag in typing. This delays my productivity but due to the shipping issue I have to wait for my company to provide a proper docking station.
