A Very Bright Canless LED Light
In my remodel project I have been using a lot of these LED canless lights with great success and beautiful results. This made me think that if I had a bigger higher lumen output light it might work well for a single light small bedroom application. I saw this commercial light with adjustable lumen output as well as color output and I knew I had to give the Euri 8" Commercial Downlight a try. Here are my thoughts on this light:1) The light does have a temp adjustment switch so you can match the color of the other lights in the room but only has three different temp settings instead of the usual 5 on other lights.2) The light also has the typical rubber seal to help seal it to the ceiling not allowing drafts or insulation into the room.3) The clips hold the light solidly in place against the drywall. With the size of this light the springs are pretty heavy to actuate so using the optional T-Plate or SJ-Plate certainly would help as well as giving a place to attach the hanging cable (Pic 3).4) The brightness adjustment is excellent. Most of the six inch lights I have used run at 1,000 lumens. This light has three settings from 1,000 to 2,000 lumens. The adjustment is on top of the unit (pic 1), so you unfortunately need to set the temperature and lumen output before pushing up in the hole. A little difficult to adjust afterwards, but can be done if needed.5) This unit uses a commercial dimming system using the additional two low voltage wires for a 0 to 10 volt diming. This is a great system that can lower energy consumption and give a smooth transition in diming your lights. But, it requires a special switch and two additional wires be ran to run the low voltage side of things. If you want it and you don't understand the system, higher an electrician to install. For others, just know that if you want to use this part of the light in a home, you will probably have to run some low voltage wiring and purchase a special switch. I really like this system, so I will be running some additional wire through my attic.6) With the height of this unit, one needs to pay special attention to where the joists are running before cutting your hole. You will want to be close to the joist for installing your J-box, but far enough away to allow for the light to fit.7) This is a commercial light so it has an added nice feature of the wire leads being in a metal housing with the clip to attach into your J-box. A very nice feature.8) The light does not have as wide of dispersion as many of the six inchers have. This unit is at 90 degrees where many of the six inchers are nearly 20 degrees wider. So, if you are trying to light a larger area you will need higher ceilings to account for the narrower beam of light. For my room application it appears to be wide enough, but I would have liked it to have a little wider of dispersion.Concluding thoughts:This is a well constructed bright light that will perform in many different applications. Having the zero to 10 volt diming is great and a curse for using in a non commercial application. But I think the great overcomes the curse, so I will be running a little low voltage wiring through all that yucky loose insulation in the attic. Oh well, the price of trying something new!

You need a licensed electrician to install this
First: you need to have electrician skills or else hire a professional to install this. The manufacturer includes sketches with instructions that a professional installer might understand. BUT -- installing this retrofit is not as easy as changing a light bulb. Why did I get it? I have a very old recessed light in my laundry room that's probably been there for about 30 years. It also has a dimmer switch on the wall (which is also old) and the fixture/dimmer combo is incompatible with modern LED light bulbs. I have an incandescent bulb in the old recessed light right now. It's the only bulb that will work and not flash like a strobe. So I thought that replacing the entire fixture with this Euri light would be a good idea. I've actually replaced some of my older recessed lights before, in my kitchen. But I used a different type of retrofit light that comes with a lightbulb-like screw-in adapter at the end of it (not loose wires). I thought this light would be the same until I opened the box.The old recessed light is encased in a metal can with a socket in the center where you would screw in a traditional light bulb. I think I need to remove the whole can, because this retrofit light won't fit into it, and I need to get to the wiring behind it. But I don't think it's a good idea for me to do this without guidance.Furthermore, there are seven wires on the new light. It's not just plug 'n' play. So, if you know how to do electrical work or hire an electrician, I can say that this light might be perfect for you. It looks really nice and I like how you can set the intensity and hue.I'm going to keep it in the box until I'm ready to hire someone to replace the light and the dimmer switch.

Great Lighting for Work Area
Looking to wire these up in a workspace, provided some pictures to show the different levels of brightness.Very good color and dispersion of light, and having the ability for 3 colors and 3 different brightness levels really makes these lights easily adaptable to any lighting project.Having them pre-wired with a BX has its pros and cons. Makes it easy to plug into a junction box to tie everything together, and also .... you have to be within that length to a junction box.Very strong springs to ensure a secure mount. The provided safety cable makes it easy to install, and pull out to adjust settings of light. The function and build quality is impressive, I would definitely recommend these for the price and performance.

3.5 star
This light fixture was easy to install. It's definitely for commercial use due to the larger size vs what you'd use residentially. It works well. I did not try the dimming function since I didn't have a dimmer switch on hand to attach to it. The price seems high versus similar products. Time will tell how well it holds up.

I would still recommend buying something of good quality
This is a commercial grade eight-inch downlight, which means it is an LED light installed on the ceiling. It can be adjusted to different color temperature coefficients and different powers. If the light you need is eight inches, then this one The light will fit, it is a high quality commercial grade light if you need it I would still recommend buying something of good quality

Versitile light
I really liked the adjustable wattage and color temperature. The colors range from cooler than halogen to warm white, making the fixture useful in a variety of settings. I didn't install it in a normal drop ceiling, so I can't say how easy it is to install or replace. But I think you would need access from above to remove it, since the latching levers are stiffly sprung. The unit was securely packaged and came with good instructions. I'm completely happy with it.
