Ultimate Sticker Collection: American Girl Dress-Up

Hi! I love the AGD brand- grew up with and think doll series is great!About this reviewer: I have a five-year-old who loves activity books and I am a junior kindergarten teacher. When I look for activities for her I am looking to foster Independence skills. Sticker books are awesome for fine motor and matching/visual discrimation. With this book, I had to stop what I was doing a number of times to help her learn how to use her book. There are an incredible number of stickers in this book -which is so great. Only about 1/3 of the pages go with the given pages of “storyboard.” The rest are extra which we use on construction paper to make other scenes. I love this sticker collection!!I went through the book and marked the pages of stickers to go with pages 16-17 etc. for the whole book and then I ripped the spine of the book to separate the stickers from the workbook. Cutting into the spine to separate the pages is difficult.***The improvements I would make on this book would be to perforate the sticker pages so that they can be ripped out and placed alongside the workspace. One further improvement upon that would be to type the page number the sticker page corresponds with at the top. That’s an easy and important book-referencing skill! I love his activity because I can spot-check that she’s recognizing teen numbers through 20s when I ask her to identify the number and what she’s looking for as I continue loading the dishwasher (etc). I bought this for my 6-year-old niece's birthday. The book is sort of divided into 3 sections:(1) pages of American Girls with blank spaces for stickers, like what you see in the photos above;(2) pages of stickers of outfits and accessories which correspond to the pages in #1, so the girl can match the outfit to the doll page to "dress up" the picture; and(3) many many extra stickers, including several pages of small (1/2") square stickers that fill the entire page, and additional pages of a mixture of items, including large photos of fully-dressed American Girl dolls, accessories and decorations, and more.Basically, it is an activity plus an art project. This was a great find and I think has a great value. I'd buy it again and recommend it for young girls.

I bought 2 of these books for my granddaughters, to keep them busy while I babysat them. They both loved them, but used them differently. One put on the clothes that were meant for the dolls, and the other tried different outfits on different dolls. I had to take them away at night so they would sleep, and when I woke up the next morning they were already playing with them. The books come with lots of extra stickers and were easy to peel off and put back on if they weren't on perfectly. I got the books on sale and they were worth every penny.

My daughter loves this book. The stickers are only moderately repositionable since they lose their stickiness, but it is a much more cost-effective way of dressing all the American Girl dolls than buying the actual dolls and clothing sets.

I got this as a gift for my 6 year old niece. She really loved it and had a lot of fun putting the sticker outfits on the American Girls in the book. At first she didn't realize certain stickers go on specific dolls but once we showed her how to do the book she really enjoyed it. I'd highly recommend this to any little girl who likes American Girl dolls.
