With an integrated 17mm lens interface, this video cage supports external add-on lens accessories from Ulanzi such as their popular 1.33X Anamorphic lens kit or 52mm ND filter adapter ring (sold separate). This kit comes complete in (3) three pieces - the main video cage housing, a clear TPU smartphone case and a front magnetic bezel. The TPU clear case protects your phone and ensures a snug fit inside the cage. Once your phone is placed into the cage, the front bezel magnetically locks into place with the 8 magnets located on the perimeter of the cage. These high powered magnets keep the front bezel secure to the cage while keeping your phone in place and safe. An additional red anodized thumb screw is provided which can be inserted into any of the 1/4”-20 screw threads and when gently screwed in - eliminates any minute movement of the phone body while mounted in the cage. To remove your phone from the cage simply remove the red set screw and pull the bottom of the bezel away from the front of your phone. You can then grab the bottom of the phone and lift it from out of the cage. Watch out for missing magnet. Red screw is useless
Im only putting up a review bc I found that there is a missing magnet on the front cage cover. I do not want to return it to get a new one bc I will be needing to use this already. It still works as it should. The red screw is useless. It doesnt really hold up its purpose. The cage works with or without it.

Didn’t last long.
Update: magnets have fallen out or broke. Not as robust as I expected it to be. Would be way better if they found another way to enclose it.This is a little heavy but works great. Built like a tank and fits all my accessories to film news.

Not a universal 17mm mount for lenses
The 17mm mounting hole works perfectly for Ulanzi lenses. Other 17mm lenses won't screw in completely. I've tried Apexel and Mactrem 17mm lenses on this case and they won't screw all the way in leaving them less than flush with the case which causes vignetting. This may work with other 17mm lenses but be warned that it's not universal.

Great but..
This would be a great product if the magnets stayed in place m. But they don’t. At all. I returned the first own after zero response from the company when I asked about. Now the second has the same issues magnets popped out on 3rd use.Still works but what awful production & quality control
