NEED TWO CONNECTORS FOR EXTENDING TRACKS! PACKAGES AND PRICING ARE FOR ONE!
Festool, I know now I'm not the first to write this, but are you silly! I ordered the 55" track and understood I needed to purchase the connector(s) so my boyfriend could have what he needed to cut a 4x8 sheet of wood stock. What I didn't realize was that you only send one per package and I needed to order two!!This was a gift and I should have realized at Festool prices that I would only receive one, but nope. Shame on me! Why, when it takes two do you only sell single packages? Give us a choice if you're concerned that someone will have to order a replacement. Make it clear that it takes two and the package is a single piece.Love the product, do not like the "extreme" prices.

Works great on my Makita track saw track and seems like a better and stronger design than the actual Makita track joiner I already had. This is also less expensive than the Makita joiner I purchased. That's a real shocker because anything with the festool name on it is usually priced two to three times higher or more that similar tools or accessories from other companies. Because of that this is the only festool thing I own after 42+ years in finish carpentry and general construction.

Great. Buy 2 of these for the makita rails and connect the rails leaving a small gap (1/32?) Works great!

The German traps were set before the game board was allowed to be seen.
Again the parts conspiracy, you need two of these to get proper results and not damage anything! I have a love hate relationship with this item. But I hate thee idea of owning an 8 foot hundreds of dollars track I can't use all the time. They could engineer this item to take less time to set up and disassemble and be swifter, bit then you wouldn't buy their big track would you. Simple is okay in this case. Patience a virtue. They do work with a little tap and keep a dedicated small stainless phillips screwdriver around for them. I personally like the wera rostfrei

You need qty 2
As others have said you need to buy two of these not just one. There is a bit of slop in the rails and you can't rely on the rails themselves to align the tracks. In my case I am mating two 9' tracks together so I put a 8' level against the track the adjust for straightness, then tightened the rails and from that point the tracks stayed straight.

Price is a little crazy...and you need two.
You need two of these connectors to connect Festool guide rails. You are buying one. They work well, but it's kind of crazy how expensive they are. Still cheaper and more practical than buying one long rail.

Works with Makita.
Used with the Makita tracks. Works, but way overpriced. Still cheaper than the Makita one though.

Work great with my Makita tracks
Work great with my Makita tracks, and they are cheaper than the Makita ones (shockingI know!). Buy two because they kind of suck if you use just one. Helps to find a small flat blade screwdriver and put it with them too- otherwise you will be chasing one down every time.
