Roland Foods Chicago Style Giardiniera, Mild, 56 Ounce

Very good quality. Not too greasy. Good amount for the price.

It came leaking some kind of oily substance. Was all over inside box and covered plastic pouch. I'm fairly sure it happened during shipping. It looked delicious but we are afraid to eat it.

The majority of the bag I received is carrots & other ingredients chopped too small for my preference. I'm in the process of "doctoring & beefing" it up by adding larger pieces of veggies & peppers. Three different levels of heat...mild (as ordered), medium (jalapeños) & hot (habanaro/ghost).

BUY IT!!

This is of the best quality Chicago Style Giardiniera I have ever had! If you like yours to have the good crunch then this is the one for you! The celery, carrots, cauliflower and peppers all have the right amount of crunch to them. The olives are plentiful and so good!

I suppose it's okay, but not for me. The vinegar overpowers the taste of anything else. I tried adding Italian salad dressing to dilute it and it still didn't make it palatable to me. I'm sure somebody likes it; maybe the folks in Chicago. Me? I'm from Cleveland.

I love the mild flavor. The vegetables have a have firm texture. The taste is very balanced. The olives keep their characteristic bitter taste while the carrots stay sweet. Despite being an oil packed product, there is no fatty - oily taste.

I tried many Roland's brand items and I love all of them. Unfortunately, This Giardiniera is not one of them - way too much vinegar! The only thing you can taste is vinegar. I will not buy this again.
